Mika is a beautiful mixed breed dog with an interesting history. Her parents were among 40 neglected dogs seized from a property in Williams Lake, BC in February 2018, a story that made the news.

Mika’s owners’ experience with Petsecure

Mika stole our hearts at first sight. We didn't hesitate to make the journey from Vancouver to Sechelt, BC for the opportunity to meet her and see if we made a good fit. She was only 9 weeks old, but had a wonderfully calm and quiet demeanour for a puppy. We were over the moon when the BC SPCA allowed us to adopt. The staff there was wonderful and provided us with the basics to get started.

We were offered a free trial with Petsecure when we adopted Mika, which was a nice surprise, and we decided to continue with a comprehensive plan. This turned out to be a huge help to us.  A few weeks after adopting Mika, she began having seizures one evening. Terrified, we took her to a nearby vet hospital for emergency care. After examination, treatment, and an overnight stay, Mika was appearing better and was healthy enough to be taken home. We are very pleased to report that Mika has since made a full recovery and has shown no signs of any long term problems.

Because of the terrifying situation we encountered with Mika, we submitted our first claim to Petsecure. The claim process with was very straightforward and simple. When I called a couple of times to ask questions, the agents were very friendly and professional. We were so very thankful to have coverage for Mika's emergency, which would have been very expensive otherwise.

We would absolutely, 100% recommend Petsecure to friends, family and co-workers. Our policy is very affordable, and most importantly it gives us peace of mind and ensures that Mika will always get the best care possible.
