Petsecure was proud to be part of this year’s Canadian Veterinary Medical Association (CVMA) annual convention in Charlottetown, PEI. Over 1,000 people and 50 vendors from across Canada were in attendance.

Our Veterinary Advisory Board chair Dr. Berney Pukay and our Divisional Vice-President Rod Cunniam were on hand to present the CVMA's award for Small Animal Practitioner of the Year.

CVMA’s Small Animal Practitioner Award, sponsored by Petsecure, is presented to a CVMA member whose work in small animal practice, clinical research or basic sciences is judged to have contributed significantly to the advancement of small animal medicine, surgery, or the management of a small animal practice.

This year’s winner was PEI veterinarian Dr. David Condon, who was recognized for his compassion towards the animals in his care and his dedication to the student veterinarians he mentors and supervises.

The CVMA is the national and international voice for Canada’s veterinarians, providing leadership and advocacy for veterinary medicine.
