Petsecure paid it forward by helping a dog owner pay her vet bill at Family Pet Hospital & 24 Hour Pet Emergency Centre in Lethbridge, AB.

Yeppie is a 6-year-old Great Pyrenees who has had a number of health concerns over the past few years. Her owner, Laura-Lee, has been a client at Family Pet Hospital since Yeppie was a puppy in 2011.

Yeppie is no stranger to Family Pet Hospital or large veterinary bills. In 2012 she required knee surgery for a torn ligament and in 2014 she was unintentionally poisoned. When Yeppie tore her knee ligament on the other leg, Laura-Lee brought her back in to the clinic for another costly surgery. When Petsecure learned about all that Yeppie and her owner have been through, we couldn't help but lend a hand and pay a portion of her vet bill.

Dr. Kate Lupton is the cat vet at Family Pet Hospital and treats Laura-Lee’s cats on a regular basis and makes a special exception for sweet Yeppie. She was the one who diagnosed Yeppie’s second torn ligament. Dr. Jacob Adserballe, Family Pet Hospitals Orthopedic Surgeon, and his team perform an average of 23 cruciate surgeries a year.
