A follow-up with rescue dog Mygan

You may remember Mygan, the dog we visited earlier this year in Winnipeg. He was rescued from northern Manitoba after being hit by a truck. As a result of the accident, he had an severely infected leg. 

Thanks to the help of the dedicated staff at D'Arcy's Animal Rescue Centre (A.R.C.) and Birchwood Animal Hospital, Mygan was recovering. Attempts at physiotherapy were unsuccessful, so an amputation of the leg was scheduled.

 We visited Mygan again the day of his surgery at Birchwood Animal Hospital and spoke with Dr. Brad Safiniuk, who performed the amputation.
