A helping hand at Sandy Bay

Petsecure Claims Adjuster Tara recently took a trip to Sandy Bay First Nation in Manitoba to volunteer her time with Feed the Furbabies Canada and the Brandon Humane Society. The group of volunteers did 40 spays and neuters for the dogs and cats in the community, as well as vaccines and de-worming.

"The community members were very supportive," says Tara. "They were very appreciative of us being out there to help their animals. This is very important because the people up in the reserves can't always afford to have their animals spayed or neutered, and it's the best way to control the population of the dogs out there and keep them healthy."

Tara's co-workers raised $200, which was matched by Petsecure, to make a $400 donation toward the cost of the spays and neuters.
