Theodore

I found out it doesn’t take much to seriously injure a small puppy when my less than three pound little Theodore got his head caught in the car door. I thought for sure I’d lost him.

However, he managed to stay strong and we had time to get him to an emergency vet clinic.

Thanks to an amazing staff at the emergency clinic, including his veterinarian, the team at MOVEAH and a neurologist, we found out the extent of Theodore’s injuries. My puppy had a skull fracture and several brain bleeds. His tiny little body was essentially paralyzed and he lacked almost all control of his head. I realized he had a long road of recovery ahead of him, but at that time I was relieved he was even alive. From then on in we focused on rehabilitating Teddy, and within a week he was walking again, and pretty soon he was almost 100%.

The reason we could focus all our attention on giving him the help he needed was because our vet had provided us with a free trial of Petsecure, and almost all of our $5,000 vet bills were covered. So when he needed an expensive MRI, money didn’t need to be a concern - Theodore got it. Needless to say, we promptly signed up for continuing his Petsecure coverage.

Looking at my lucky little ball of fur, I am so grateful that money did not have to be an issue when it came to saving his life and maintaining his quality of life. As a student, even the smaller incidents being covered by insurance is important. Theo has since had a few more minor events that insurance helped take care of. The peace of mind, thanks to Petsecure,is unbelievable.
