Bruno

It was such a pleasant surprise, going against every negative stereotype you hear about insurance companies.

Last November, my dachshund Bruno herniated a disk. He had surgery to correct the problem, and Petsecure processed my claim with no questions asked. However, based on his x-ray, we knew other disks were at risk and he would eventually need more surgery.

Well, that day came only five months later - a few days before Bruno’s policy renewal date.
Unfortunately, his first surgery had maxed out my $2500 coverage with Petsecure. We’d have to wait it out if I wanted to qualify for another $2500 claim.

However, things progressed much more rapidly than we expected. When I woke up the next
morning, Bruno’s rear legs paralyzed. Now faced with a risk of permanent injury, I went ahead with the surgery and kissed the potential claim money goodbye.

Shortly after, the surgeon called me to say Bruno’s surgery was successful. Then I received an
unexpected call from Petsecure. They were dismayed by my financial dilemma, worked some magic and upgraded my policy so I would qualify for that $2500 immediately (and they didn’t even know I’d gone ahead with the surgery). It was such a pleasant surprise, going against every negative stereotype you hear about insurance companies. Bruno is now on the mend.

In our visits to the hospital during this ordeal, we met two other dachshunds recovering from the same surgery...it’s a common problem, so I can’t stress how glad I was to have pet health insurance.

In hindsight, I’d have purchased even more coverage, not realizing how expensive this common problem can be. Thanks to your team for all the help!
